TT2025 Brilliant Minds Announced

Kozhikode students Muhammed Adhil and Ameya M were crowned TT2025 Brilliant Minds at TechTop’s International Inclusive Innovation Bootcamp in Kochi.

TechTop Charitable Trust announced the winners of the TT2025 Brilliant Minds title after a week-long innovation and entrepreneurship bootcamp held at Maker Village, Kochi. This year’s top honours went to Muhammed Adhil TS and Ameya M, two exceptional students from Kozhikode.

Selected from 37 participants across India, Japan, and UAE, the students excelled in hands-on maker challenges, innovation sprints, storytelling, pitching, and the Zero2Entrepreneur learning pathway guided by globally respected mentors.

TechTop2006

Burnocare

The first-ever TechTop 1st Prize was awarded in 2006 to Burnocare, an innovative healthcare solution developed by students of Sahrdaya College of Engineering, Thrissur. The team received a ₹1 Lakh cash prize, sponsored by Degree C.

TechTop2007

Automated Rationing for PDS

The TechTop 2007 First Prize was awarded to Kongu Engineering College, Tamil Nadu for their project Automated Rationing for Public Distribution System (PDS). The team’s innovation aimed to improve transparency and efficiency in ration distribution. They received a ₹1 Lakh cash prize, sponsored by Degree C. The award was presented by Dr. Ajay Kumar, IAS, then Secretary, IT Department, and now Additional Secretary, DeitY, Government of India.

TechTop2008

Electrolytic Effluent Treatment Plant

Tackling one of the textile industry’s biggest challenges, a team from DKTE’s Textile Technology, Maharashtra, developed an innovative electrolytic method to clean industrial effluents. Their breakthrough in eco-friendly pollution control earned them the TechTop 2008 First Prize and a grant of ₹1 Lakh from Degree C.

Chakshuyaan – Vision Aid Robot

Bringing independence to the visually impaired, students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kollam, designed Chakshuyaan, a robotic navigation system that assists in safe mobility. This socially impactful innovation secured them the TechTop 2009 First Prize, along with ₹1 Lakh in funding from Degree C.

Nano Carbon from Industrial Exhaust

Transforming waste into value, Sastra University’s team engineered a method to extract nano carbon from industrial exhaust pipes. Their sustainable technology impressed the jury, winning the TechTop 2010 First Prize and ₹1 Lakh from Degree C.

TechTop2011

Low-Cost Pepper Separator

A simple yet powerful invention, Amal Jyothi College students created a low-cost pepper separator to help farmers save time and labor. Their farmer-focused innovation won the TechTop 2011 First Prize and ₹1 Lakh sponsored by Degree C.

TechTop2012

Bioreactor for Textile Dye Decolourisation

With textile dyes being a major water pollutant, students from Sahrdaya College, Thrissur, designed a bioreactor that completely decolourises dye effluents. Their environmental solution earned them the TechTop 2012 First Prize and ₹1 Lakh from Degree C.

Lever Drive Multipurpose Roll Chair

Focused on accessibility, Saintgits College students built a lever-driven multipurpose roll chair that improves mobility for differently-abled individuals. Their human-centered design was awarded the TechTop 2013 First Prize and ₹1 Lakh support from Degree C.

Affordable Refreshable Braille Display

Latex Carry Backpack

Supporting the rubber farming community, Amal Jyothi College students designed an ergonomic latex carry backpack to ease transportation. Their practical innovation won the TechTop 2015 First Prize and ₹1 Lakh funding from Degree C.
